Introduction
Welcome to Mingle Society (minglesociety.ro), a platform for socializing and psychoeducation events. By using the platform, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
User account
You can buy tickets without an account by giving the participant's name, a phone number and an email address. A user account is optional; it gives you your order history and saved events. If you create one, you are responsible for the confidentiality of your login details and for all actions carried out from your account.
Ticket purchase
Tickets purchased through the platform are nominal -- the participant is the person whose name is on the ticket. One ticket per event may be purchased per email address. Tickets are non-transferable.
Payments and prices
All payments are processed through Stripe. Prices are displayed in RON and include all applicable taxes. Payment is made by redirecting to the secure Stripe page.
Mingle Society collects the ticket price in the name and on behalf of the organizer and settles that amount to them, retaining a 10% intermediation commission (VAT included) calculated on the ticket's list price, before any discount code, which covers operating and processing costs. Until an organizer has sold 10,000 lei through the platform, this commission is 0% (introductory offer). Documents issued to the buyer are issued in the name of the organizer.
Invoicing
The invoice for the ticket is issued by the organizer, not by Mingle Society -- the organizer is the seller, and we only intermediate the sale and the collection of the price. Mingle Society issues no document in its own name to you for the ticket price; we invoice only our intermediation commission, and we invoice it to the organizer.
For a consumer, the invoice is not issued automatically: art. 319 alin. (10) of the Fiscal Code exempts the seller from issuing an invoice in retail sales, unless the buyer asks for one. Paying online by card does not produce a fiscal receipt (bon fiscal) either. So if you need a fiscal document for the ticket, you have to ask the organizer for the invoice.
How to ask for it: write to the organizer, using their contact details -- you will find them on the event page, in the checkout panel, on the order confirmation page and in the confirmation email. If the organizer has published no contact details, write to contact@minglesociety.ro and we will forward the request to them. If you need the invoice made out to a company, send the organizer the company name, the CUI, the trade register number and the registered address -- the platform does not collect those at checkout.
The general legal deadline for issuing an invoice is the 15th day of the month following the one in which the payment was collected (art. 319 alin. (16) of the Fiscal Code), so ask in good time rather than months later.
Refund policy
Purchased tickets are non-refundable, except where the event is cancelled by the organizer or by the platform administrators. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified by email.
Outside of a cancellation, you may ask the organizer of the event for a refund from the order page, reachable from the confirmation email or from your account. The organizer decides whether to grant it; it is not an entitlement. See the withdrawal / refund policy for the procedure.
Event cancellation
Organizers and platform administrators reserve the right to cancel an event. In the event of cancellation, all ticket holders will be notified by email and the ticket price is refunded automatically to the payment method used at purchase.
Conduct on the platform
The following actions are prohibited on the platform:
- Creating fake accounts or accounts with incorrect information
- Using the platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Attempting to access other users' accounts or data
- Disrupting the operation of the platform
Intellectual property
The platform's content (design, texts, logos, source code) is the property of Mingle Society and is protected by copyright legislation.
Limitation of liability
Mingle Society facilitates ticket purchases and is not directly responsible for the running of events. Organizers are responsible for the quality and conduct of the events they publish.
Online marketplace / intermediary role
Mingle Society operates as an online marketplace, in accordance with OUG no. 34/2014, art. 61. For transparency, we state the following:
- Ranking order: Events are displayed by default according to two parameters, in this order of importance: (1) the city -- following a fixed market-priority list, with Cluj-Napoca (the home city of the platform) first and the remaining cities roughly in order of population; cities not on the list share the last position and are ordered among themselves by date; (2) the event date, ascending, among events sharing the same city position. If you choose a price sort, price becomes the first criterion and date the second, whatever the city; otherwise, if you filter by a city, events are ordered by date alone (ascending). These rules describe the event catalogue; the “popular events”, “recently added” and “similar events” sections on other pages are ordered by date and by date added respectively. Mingle Society does not use paid placement -- no organizer can pay for a higher position in the list.
- Who the seller is: the event organizer is the seller/trader of the ticket. Mingle Society (BALAS TUDOR-DAN PFA) operates the platform as an intermediary and is not a party to the contract for providing the event service.
- Allocation of liability: Mingle Society facilitates the listing, ticket sales, and payment processing (via Stripe). The organizer is responsible for organizing, running, and ensuring the quality of the event.
- Invoicing:the invoice for the ticket is issued by the organizer, at the buyer's request; Mingle Society issues no document in its own name to the buyer, and only forwards the request when the organizer has published no contact details. See Invoicing above.
Changes to the terms
We reserve the right to amend these terms. Changes will be published on this page together with the update date.
